Whitewater Mountain Resort

Whitewater Mountain Resort sits in the Selkirk Mountains of British Columbia’s Kootenay region, beneath Ymir Peak and about 20 minutes’ drive from Nelson. Independent and locally owned, it relies entirely on natural snowfall, with steeps, chutes, bowls and gladed tree skiing for every level, plus lift-accessed backcountry supported by avalanche courses and touring rentals. The base Day Lodge houses guest services, rentals, snow school and its well-loved homemade food, and the Glory Lodge serves the far side of the hill. Nordic trails welcome cross-country skiers, snowshoers and fat bikers, while summer brings hiking and camping.
