About Montgenèvre
Montgenèvre sits right on the French–Italian border, blending the charm of a traditional Alpine village with easy, sunlit skiing on tree-lined slopes. It’s relaxed, family-friendly and unfussy, with confidence-building terrain for beginners and plenty of gentle cruising for intermediates. The atmosphere is more village than mega-resort, and lunches can just as easily be Italian as French thanks to the frontier location.
Its trump card is the direct link into the Milky Way (Via Lattea) domain — a vast, cross-border network that connects into Claviere, Sauze d’Oulx and Sestriere for serious mileage days when the weather plays ball. You get the best of both worlds: mellow local pistes when you want them, and a 400-km playground when you’re keen to roam.
