Megève

Megève is a historic Haute-Savoie village resort at 1,113 m, facing the Mont Blanc massif, whose cobbled centre, horse-drawn sleighs and gourmet restaurants gave French skiing its reputation for alpine elegance. Its slopes spread across the Rochebrune, Mont d’Arbois, Jaillet and Cote 2000 sectors and form part of the Évasion Mont-Blanc area, which links Megève with Saint-Gervais, Combloux, La Giettaz and Les Contamines-Montjoie. Skiing tops out at 2,350 m and is mostly wide, tree-lined and gentle, which makes the resort particularly strong for families, beginners and confident intermediates.
