Heavenly Mountain Resort

Heavenly Mountain Resort rises above South Lake Tahoe and spans the state line between California and Nevada, with two base areas in each state. Its runs look out over Lake Tahoe, and a gondola climbs to the mountain from Heavenly Village in South Lake Tahoe. The terrain ranges from groomed cruisers with lake views to the bumps of the well-known Gunbarrel run and advanced tree skiing. In summer the gondola also serves mountain activities, and South Lake Tahoe and Stateline provide lodging and restaurants close to the base areas.
