About Breuil-Cervinia
Breuil-Cervinia sits at 2,050m at the foot of the Matterhorn in Italy’s Aosta Valley, and is the Italian gateway to the Cervino Ski Paradise ski area. Lifts link Breuil-Cervinia with Valtournenche, Chamois and Torgnon, and cross the Theodul Pass into Zermatt in Switzerland, giving skiers one of the largest cross-border ski areas in the Alps. The high altitude and glacier terrain above Plateau Rosa make it one of Europe’s most snow-sure resorts, with skiing possible well beyond the traditional winter season. Long, wide and mostly gentle pistes suit intermediates and families particularly well, while the Zermatt link gives stronger skiers a full day of high-mountain touring. The village itself is compact and walkable, with hotels, restaurants and ski hire close to the main lift stations.
