About Alta Ski Area
Alta Ski Area sits at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains and is one of the oldest ski areas in the United States. It is a skiers-only mountain known for deep powder and a natural setting. Two base areas, Albion and Wildcat, are linked by the Transfer Tow. Albion suits beginners, families and the Alf Engen Ski School, with gentle conveyors and the Sunnyside lift. Wildcat and Collins serve steeper groomers, trees and off-piste lines, while hike-to terrain rewards experts.
